Mr. César Cordero-Krüger a passionate leader with first class communication skills and a long track of successful management with over 30 years of experience in a diverse spectrum of businesses and academic environments. Since 1995 has been a consultant for Walgreen Co., one of the most successful Pharmacy Public Traded companies in the World. Assisting them in their expansion plans in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands through the development and replication of their changing business model. As a result of such activities the Company have approved deals for expansion and has successfully developed over 60 new stores, with transactions value of approximately $500 MM in total development costs.
Also has served as the managing director for a National Merchant Banking firm with corporate headquarters in Chicago. He was responsible at the San Juan office for identifying potential acquisitions of companies with minimum revenues of $5 MM. In 1992, Mr. Cordero-Krüger co-founded Business Venture Group a business brokerage, mergers & acquisitions, and management consulting firm; dealing primarily with Businesses with transaction values up to $5MM and revenues up to $55MM.
Participated in the valuation of companies such as Kitchen Cabinets Manufacturer, Telecommunications Provider, Mechanical Contractors, Mattress Manufacturer, and Computer Supplies Distributor. Prepared and presented seminars on how to acquire a company for SBA Administration, Hewitt Associates, Enron Co., and Shell Company.
As a co-founder of General Management Assistant Corp. his engagements covered the preparation and assembly of promotional packages for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico's Economic Development Administration, for projects such as a feasibility analysis for the air cargo transportation industry, pilot’s school and air ambulance services in the Caribbean. Prepared financial projections, including cost, break-even, and price sensitivity analysis for the Corporate Meetings Cruise-Ship Industry for the Chicago office of the Puerto Rico Economic Development Administration.
Mr. Cordero-Krüger served as a professor of Statistics and Operations Management from 1986 to 1995, at the College of Business Administration of the Rio Piedras Campus, University of Puerto Rico, also was a system design, work measurement, and quality control professor at the Industrial Engineering department of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. He started in the academia as a Quality Control Laboratory Instructor at the UPR School of Engineering. Through this process he developed practical applications for companies such as General Electric, J.R. Woods & Sons, Digital Equipment Corporation and Recaito-Ito.
He brings a solid academic background with a Bachelor in Science in Industrial Engineering (1983), a Master in Science in Management Systems Engineering (1986) from the University of Puerto Rico, and Post Graduate studies in Commercial Real Estate from University of Pennsylvania (2008).
